CHAMP Dominates and Wins in Spain

At the Open De Andalucía De Golf by Turkish Airlines perseverance led to reward as the winner ended a nine-year drought and won the title wearing CHAMP spikes. With this win, the victor secured his spot in the Volvo Golf Match Play
Championship in May.

Although bragging rights for the win are in order for The World Leader in Sport Cleat Technology, it is hard to overlook the amazing results from the entire field. The field at Parador de Malaga Golf Course had 81% competing in CHAMP spikes heavily dominated by the ScorpionSTINGER™. Of these statistics, six of the top ten finishers were CHAMP supporters.

“CHAMP congratulates the winner on a fantastic weekend of golf as he chose the best in traction technology,” states Harris MacNeill, President and CEO of CHAMP / MacNeill Engineering. “The percentage of CHAMP spikes on all professional tours continues to grow each week. The numbers support our improvements and what we have always known about our brand. For 80 years CHAMP has provided athletes with quality products. When we launch a product we want it to be equipment a golfer will be confident using. Thus far, this direction has worked overwhelmingly well for us and we will continue to fulfill golfers needs in sport cleat technology for many years to come.”

The champion captured his first win on the PGA circuit by one stroke wearing the industries first hybrid spike the Scorpion PRO-Stinger™ spike.
